A Celebration of Life for Ms. Nicole Daily, Principal of Tappahannock Elementary School, will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy Mechanicsville, VA 23111. A tree planting dedication, in her honor, will be held at Tappahannock Elementary School on the front lawn Friday, August 9, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Please keep Ms. Daily’s family in your thoughts and prayers.

Update for Our 4th Grade Families! Hello, everyone! We hope you're having a fantastic summer and are as excited as we are for the new school year to begin. We wanted to let you know about a recent update to the 4th-grade supply list. Instead of 3 three-inch binders, students will now need 3 one-inch binders. Location: Essex High School Address: 833 High School Circle, Tappahannock, Virginia 22560 Dates: June 10 - June 27, 2024 (Monday to Thursday) Meal Times: Breakfast: 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM Lunch: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Meals will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that both breakfast and lunch will not be available on June 19, 2024, as the school will be closed to students and staff. We would like to congratulate the following educators who completed training and gained the title of COE Clinical Faculty. These educators completed professional learning to further their mentoring skills to help the next generation of teachers. This program is made possible through a partnership with the University of Mary Washington.
